This love scares me sometimes.
I've never felt anything so intense,

I am on an island.
People try to visit.
Some stay.
Some pass by.
Some I have to push away.

He was visiting my island for a long time.
He helped me start there,
Laying the foundations.
The last time you tried to visit me Sailor,
He was there.
So I pushed your boat back to the mainland.

He's not there anymore.
It's just me, trying to build up from the foundation.
He's circling on his boat, which makes it hard.
But his circles get farther and farther away.

I'm here, struggling, but determined,
To make this MY island.
My refuge.
Friends are allowed on the beach,
But no further.
When you tried, I smiled in my heart,
And sighing, had to push you back to the mainland
Again.

Btu you said you'd keep rowing
For me.
Building strength and determination
For you.
Going against the current,
Dodging boulders, weathering storms,
And facing the inevitable.

Don't give up Sailor.
You are the first who, when pushed back to shore,
Got back in the boat, heading for my island again.

It's a beautiful place, but it must be tamed,
And calmed,
Only by me.

Keep rowing,
Just don't go to fast.
Enjoy the scenery on the way Sailor.
And when I have built enough away from the foundation,
And have made this island my own,
You will be invited on
To help add to the beauty and structure.
